Toowoomba Clubhouse values
1. Inclusion
Everyone with a lived experience of mental illness, or working to support those who do, is welcome here - no matter where in their journey they might be.
2. High expectations
We expect the best, the best support, the best opportunities and the best outcomes. We ensure all members are encouraged to challenge themselves and grow at their own pace and with the right support, and to be leaders in service leadership & innovation.
3. Positivity
We strive to be authentically optimistic, instill hope and are sincerely encouraging and supportive of each other in everything we do.
I joined Toowoomba Clubhouse with my daughter to try and support her and along the way have gotten so much out of it for myself.
Together, we blossom.
"Considering Clubhouse? Come with me. I can’t encourage you enough. Whatever you are dealing with, there is something at Clubhouse for everyone."
— Kay W, Clubhouse Member
... Clubhouse has a great atmosphere – it’s warm and friendly and staff bend over backwards to help you. I’ve made friends at Clubhouse and feel really comfortable joining in all the activities.
4. Action and accountability
We take action in the Clubhouse and in the Toowoomba Community, to improve the mental health of members and those living with neuro-diverse challenges who may not yet be getting the help they need. We see improving outcomes for all members as everyone’s business at Toowoomba Clubhouse
5. Respectful relationships
As partners in each other's journeys, we commit to treating each other with respect and dignity, building a culture that is harmonious and safe for everyone – a place where member friendship and connection can flourish.
