Nick first discovered Clubhouse in 2011 and describes his first visit, “it was a dream come true when I found Clubhouse, it was like coming home.” From there, Nick worked side by side with staff and other members, learning new skills and contributing to the growth of Clubhouse. In Nick’s words, “at my best and at my worst, Clubhouse has been there for me.”
Nick’s role on the management committee is to represent the members and one of the greatest values he sees in Clubhouse is how the organisation advocates to the business, social and political leaders for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
During his career, Nick has worked in retail, hospitality, aged care and disability and through his own journey, has extensive experience in mental health recovery practices. Nick holds a number of certificates and is working toward a Certificate IV in Mental Health.
