Jana Dillon - Administration Officer
Originally from Western Australia, Jana moved to Queensland 3 years ago while finishing her business degree majoring in Management and Accounting. She has spent her most recent workplace roles in management and accounting positions to gain my skills in workplace dynamics and structure, and has had experience with in the social enterprise sector which is what drew her to working with us here at Toowoomba Clubhouse. In Jana’s spare time you will find her riding horses, camping, water skiing and working around her property with my 3 wonderful dogs.
Who would play you in a film? Maya Rudolph, because more often than not I am a bit of a goof ball.
If you were planning a music festival, who – dead or alive – would be your headliner? Eminem – I do love a bit of rap, and he has been a favourite of mine since I wrapped my school books in his pictures in year seven after listening to his single on my Walkman on a family vacation.
You're given an airplane ticket to anywhere in the world – where do you choose to go? – back to England, after spending a year living in country England I haven’t had the chance to go back there yet and its definitely on the wish list.
What's your favourite memory? First time seeing snow when I first went to England and did a tour through Europe, and having a snow fight
Who is your inspiration? Definitely my mum, she is a wonder lady and she has been through so much in her life and she is always there to remind me things will work out the way they are meant to.
You're on a desert island – what have you brought with you? If I had to be practical definitely a cooking pot, if I was being impractical I would definitely take my dogs – because they make everything better right? Even being stranded on an island?
Why Toowoomba Clubhouse? Because we can make a difference in people’s lives, and this is a place where I can work among some pretty amazing people to help achieve some pretty amazing things. Our members are so incredibly smart, strong and resilient and it is so great working with such inspirational people.
