Introduction to Toowoomba Clubhouse
|
When Clint (not his real name) came to Clubhouse he had been
out of work for ten years. Working in our Hospitality and Horticultural Unit,
he made new friends and gained confidence and stamina.
His next step was paid work - a six month transitional placement
cleaning the offices of another agency.
By then he had built up his skills, stamina and confidence enough
to try for his own job. This he did with the joint support
of both Clubhouse and a disability employment agency.

Rehabilitation at Clubhouse
The 'work-ordered day' is the central feature of a day at clubhouse.
It is a casual, pre-vocational, training programme where you participate
in either the Hospitality and Horticultural Unit or the
Business Services Unit. From there you may choose to;
progress to our Transitional Employment Programme,
accept help for writing resumes, or support towards undertaking study or
other personal goals. Follow these links if you are interested in

or otherwise contributing to clubhouse's operation?
