A Path to EmploymentIf your objective is paid employment, the Clubhouse staff will use a mutually agreed plan to help you set appropriate goals and devise ways to meet them.Using The Work-Ordered DayMoving towards paid employment (which is the most common goal of Clubhouse members) will involve acquiring common work skills, social skills, confidence and stamina in the Clubhouse work-ordered day.Your plan will be reviewed regularly with a staff person, and you can change direction whenever you wish. Employment OptionClubhouse will provide for and assist with these options when you are ready to move beyond the Clubhouse work units.
Transitional Employment ProgrammeThis programme is common to the 'Clubhouse model' around the world. It involves clubhouse 'owning' a part-time job outside of Clubhouse which Clubhouse uses to bridge the gap between the pre-vocational work at Clubhouse and open employment. If a member can not meet her/his Transitional Employment requirements on a day, the clubhouse will ensure someone else fulfils that work for the employer for the day.Continued SupportAfter you have used Clubhouse as the basis of your rehabilitation and recovery, and you have perhaps progressed to open employment, Clubhouse will continue to be available for your support. This also applies if you take up formal study or other outside activities. Irrespective of these choices or your progress, you can continue your participation in Clubhouse at whatever level you wish. You may have a period away from our Clubhouse. You will always have the right to return whenever you feel the need. | |||||||||||||
