Drop in and see for yourself!EligibilityAs indicated elsewhere, if your main barrier to getting a life or a job is a mental health problem, you are eligible for membership in Toowoomba Clubhouse. To be more particular, a formal access policy document has been developed.Other Volunteers are Welcome. The 'Clubhouse model' of rehabilitation is based on voluntary participation; however if you are a person not eligible for Clubhouse membership but you are interested in contributing to one of the various aspects of Clubhouse, please click here.Have a LookYou can drop into Clubhouse any time for a look, and see if you feel comfortable; however we offer an orientation to Clubhouse for prospective members. Contact us to make an appointment for 12:15 PM on Monday, and after a tour of Clubhouse and an explanation of the rehabilitation programme, we will offer our two course meal at 1:00 PM for free.Alternatively, as around lunch time can be busy, if you prefer a quieter time, we can arrange our orientation at 2:00 PM on Mondays. Give Us a Test RunIf you are interested in trying our programme, we will ask you to complete a one page form to register with us, and make a time to start in the work-ordered day. Depending on what you are interested in, during your 'test drive' you might try spending some time in each area – the kitchen, garden and office. If you are interested in the new Support for Day to Day Living in the Community (D2DL) Program then please complete a Referral Form . Become a MemberAfter participation in the work-ordered day for several, maybe six, times, we will have a chat to see how you are going and whether you want to continue. The next step would be to complete a membership form and become a Clubhouse member.Following ThroughFrom there the staff will offer to consider your personal goals, which may include moving towards employment, by determining a mutually agreed plan where Clubhouse will help you achieve those goals. Also we will ask you for your choice on basic considerations such as means of contact if we do not see you for a while. | |||||||||||||
